Air Liquide’s Fourth-Quarter Sales Slip

Air Liquide says its fourth-quarter 2006 sales fell about 1%, to €2.8 billion ($3.6 billion). Earnings were not disclosed. Gas and services sales slipped 1%, to €2.44 billion. The welding division’s sales rose 16%, to €159 million. Chemical sales, which are part of Air Liquide’s “other activities” division, decreased 2%, to €50.8 million.
