Reach: 2,300 Substances Identified So Far for 2013 Registration

The European Chemical Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says a recent survey of industry shows chemical firms plan to register 2,300 substances for the next phase of the European Union’s (EU) Reach legislation taking place in May 2013. The next Reach registration phase requires that companies register all chemical substances produced—or imported—in volumes between 100 m.t./year and 1,000 m.t./year.
