The 54 chemicals, if they are identified as SVHCs, would be added to the candidate list of substances for authorization under the European Union's (EU) Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (Reach) legislation. The European Commission requested that ECHA launch a consultation for 37 substances, and Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, and the U.K. proposed a consultation...
