An Additional 54 Chemicals Are Proposed for Reach Authorization Candidate List

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has launched a public consultation on 54 potential substances of very high concern (SVHC). The 54 chemicals, if they are identified as SVHCs, would be added to the candidate list of substances for authorization under the European Union's (EU) Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (Reach) legislation.
