ECHA proposes four substances as SVHCs

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has proposed four substances as substances of very high concern (SVHC). The substances are the dihexyl ester of 1,2-benzenedicarboxyl acid (both branched and linear isomers), cadmium chloride, sodium perborate, and sodium peroxometaborate. ECHA welcomes comments on the identity of the substance, persistent bioaccumulative and toxicity, very persistent very bioaccumulative properties, and on properties giving rise to an equivalent level of concern, the agency says.
