Novozymes and Raízen to collaborate on cellulosic ethanol

Novozymes says it has entered into a collaboration agreement with Brazil’s largest sugarcane crusher, Raízen Energia (São Paulo). Raízen is the world’s largest sugarcane crusher and one of the leading sugar and ethanol producers in Brazil. Raízen was established in 2011 as a joint venture between Shell and Brazilian energy and infrastructure conglomerate Cosan (São Paulo).
