Western Europe's olefin production declined in fourth quarter of 2013

Olefin production went down in Western Europe during the last quarter of 2013, compared with the same quarter of the previous year, according to figures released by the Association of Petrochemical Producers in Europe (APPE; Brussels). Europe's ethylene production was down just over 2.0%, to 4.4 million m.t., during the fourth quarter from 4.5 million m.t. in the same quarter of 2012, APPE says.
