Regions :: Western Europe :: Belgium Solvay Posts Higher Profits and Sales; Rhodia to Be Consolidated from this Quarter6:18 AM MDT | October 27, 2011 | Ian Young Solvay posted a more than seven-fold increase in third-quarter 2011 net profits compared with the same period of 2010, to €73 million on sales from continuing operations up 5%, to €1.6 billion. Recurring Ebitda (Rebitda) from continuing operations increased 13%, to €264 million. The results do not include earnings and sales of the former Rhodia, which Solvay acquired in September. Rebitda at the former Rhodia operations increased 16% year on year in the third quarter, to €273 million on sales up 23%, to €1.7 billion, Solvay says. Results...
