Solvay Doubles Specialty Fluorinated Derivatives Capacity in France

Solvay says it is investing €10 million ($12.8 million) to double production capacity for specialty fluorinated aliphatic derivatives at the company's plant at Salindres, France. Solvay, specifically, decided to double the production capacity for triflic acid and triflic anhydride, as well as for lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide, to meet growing demand in the electronic applications, battery, and pharmaceutical markets, the company says.
