Research into VOC Fingerprinting Wins LRI Science Award

Maria Delgado Saborit, a young scientist from the University of Birmingham (Birmingham, U.K.), has won the 2010 Long-range Research Initiative’s (LRI) annual Innovative Science Award for her proposed project to develop analytical tools to assess indoor exposure from volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The award carries a prize of €100,000 ($124,000). The project is named In Quest of New Fingerprints of Exposure to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from Consumer Products.
