Lanxess starts up 90,000-m.t./year nylon unit at Antwerp

Lanxess has started up a 90,000-m.t./year nylon plastics production facility at Antwerp as scheduled, the company said today. The facility, part of Lanxess's high-performance materials (HPM) business line, required an investment of €75 million ($102 million). The capacity utilization rate of the plant will be gradually increased in the coming months, the company says.
