Lanxess Reduces Butyl Rubber Production

Lanxess says it is reducing butyl rubber production at its Zwijndrecht, Belgium; and Sarnia, ON sites due to a decline in demand. The plants will operate at reduced capacity or be closed temporarily in the coming months, allowing for routine maintenance work, Lanxess says. About 360 employees will be affected.
