Kaneka completes acquisition of BASF’s acrylic-based modifier business

Kaneka (Osaka, Japan) says that its Kaneka Belgium (Westerlo, Belgium) subsidiary has completed the previously announced acquisition of BASF’s acrylic-based modifier business, following receipt of approval by antitrust authorities. Acrylic-based modifiers are used as impact modifiers and processing aids for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and engineering plastics, Kaneka says.
