Ferro builds benzoic acid and dibenzoates facilities at Antwerp

Ferro Corp. says it will install a new dibenzoates production facility at its Antwerp site, which will expand significantly its plasticizer product offerings. The project will be designed to produce 28,000 m.t./year of dibenzoates, a non-phthalate, fast-fusing plasticizer. It will include a unit to produce benzoic acid, which will make the project fully back integrated. Production at the facility is expected to begin in the second half of 2014.
