The European Court of Justice has dismissed Evonik Degussa’s appeal against a €91.1-million ($142 million) methionine price-fixing cartel fine. Degussa, the predecessor of Evonik Degussa, was originally fined €118 million in July 2002 by the European Commission for conspiring to fix the price of methionine between 1986 and 1999.
