European Trade Unions Publish List of 306 ‘Chemicals of Very High Concern’

Guido Sacconi, a member of the European Parliament, and the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC; Brussels), have jointly published a list of 306 chemicals that they say are of “very high concern.” ETUC is calling on European Union (EU) member states to ensure that substances on the list, dubbed Trade Union Priority List for Reach Authorisation, are included in the candidate list of substances requiring authorization under the EU’s Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) legislation.
