European Solvents Producers Form Reach Consortium

A group of 12 hydrocarbon solvents producers have formed a consortium to register their products under the European Union’s (EU) Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) law. The consortium was organized by the Hydrocarbon Solvents Producers Association (HSPA; Brussels), part of Cefic. The firms will “combine their efforts to prepare consistent registration dossiers for almost 80 substances in nine categories before December 1, 2010,” HSPA says.
