EU Clears Total's Acquisition of Belgian PS Units

European antitrust authorities approved today the acquisition by Total Petrochemicals of Polimeri Europa's styrenic lines at Feluy, Belgium. "The Commission's investigation showed that the transaction would lead to a relatively small overlap and the combined entity would continue to face several competitors," the commission says.
