Trichloroethylene (TRI) sales declined, although a figure cannot be reported because only two producers remain, ECSA says. The companies that still make TRI have agreed to stop supplying the product, a proven carcinogen, to metal degreasers not equipped with closed systems after 2010, ECSA says.
