Brussels to Modify Laws on Recycling of Electrical Equipment

The European Commission plans to revise European Union (EU) laws on the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment, and on the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The laws have been in force since 2004. The latest proposals are intended to improve implementation and enforcement, and reduce the administrative burden of the laws.
