BASF says the businesses up for sale are profitable, but are not considered to be core operations. The company says it plans to find a strategic buyer for the fertilizer activities. The fertilizer operations activities include production plants at Antwerp and BASF’s 50% share in its PECRhin joint venture (Ottmarsheim, France) The businesses to be sold have a total capacity of about 2.5 million m.t./year of fertilizer and account for less than 1% of BASF total sales of €63.9 billion...
