Regions :: Western Europe :: Belgium AkzoNobel Confirms U.K. Paints Sale to Endless1:58 AM MDT | August 20, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz AkzoNobel says it has agreed to sell its Crown Paints decorative paints business in the U.K. and Ireland to Endless Investments (Leeds, U.K.), a private equity house. AkzoNobel has also agreed a deal to sell two Belgian brands to Rieu Investissements (Bondoufle, France), a French producer of coatings. AkzoNobel was forced to sell these assets as a condition of the EU antitrust authorities approval of its takeover of ICI in January 2008.
