SK Capital, IBA Form Medical Isotopes Distributor

Private equity firm SK Capital (New York) and Ion Beam Applications (IBA; Lorain-la-Nueve, Belgium), a medical device company, have formed a jointly-owned distributor of radioactive isotopes for medical imaging. The new business, called IBA Molecular, is derived from IBA’s radiopharmaceutical division. IBA owns 40% of IBA Molecular. Other financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
