Messer Buys in Austria

Messer Austria, a subsidiary of Messer (Bad Soden, Germany), has acquired the gases business of Sapio Gase (Baumgartenberg, Austria). Sapio Gase, formerly a subsidiary of Sapio (Milan), has a strong presence in the region of upper Austria. The region is “of considerable importance to the gas business in Austria generally,” says Michael Beck, managing director of Messer Austria.
