Lenzing starts up large Tencel fiber plant in Austria

Lenzing announced today that it has started production at its large-scale Tencel cellulose fiber plant at Lenzing, Austria. The plant has capacity for 67,000 m.t./year of Tencel fiber and involved an investment of €150 million ($201.5 million). The plant raises the company’s total capacity for Tencel fiber to 220,000 m.t./year.
