Lenzing Posts Big Increases in Earnings and Sales

Cellulose fibers producer Lenzing posted a more than doubling in 2010 operating profits compared with the previous year, to €232 million on sales up 45%, to €1.8 billion, based on preliminary figures. Quarterly Ebitda increased 76% year on year, to €331 million. The figures reflect "the dynamic expansion in fiber production, very strong demand for Lenzing fibers, and significantly higher fiber sales prices compared with the previous year," the company says.
