Lenzing Hikes Rayon Fibers Capacity in China, Mulls Production in India; Switching Production in Austria

Lenzing will more than double production of cellulosic fibers, to 140,000 m.t./year at its Nanjing, China site at a cost of €55 million ($74.4 million). Completion is planned within 18 months-2 years. The company will at the same time switch production of standard rayon fibers to modal fibers at its Lenzing, Austria site at a cost of €23 million.
