(Tokyo) says it will invest about €14 million ($19 million) to build a new plant for polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) compounds at Vienna, Austria. The plant is expected to come online in 2012 and will have a production capacity of 6,000 m.t./year, with the possibility of expanding it to 10,000 m.t./year in the future. The investment is part of the company’s ¥10-billion ($130 million) project to expand global production capacity for PPS polymer and compounds.
