One of the units, a 10,000 m.t./year facility, was decommissioned in January 2010. The second unit, a 20,000 m.t./year melamine manufacturing facility will be closed on June 27th. The two plants use outdated low pressure melamine production technology and would require high capital expenditure, the company says.
