Syngenta reports increase in third-quarter sales, confirms outlook for 2012

Syngenta, the global-leading agricultural chemicals player, today reported a rise in sales at constant exchange rates “driven by an excellent performance in Latin America.” Sales in the quarter rose 6%, to $2.698 billion. The company does not disclose third-quarter profit numbers. Reported group sales are 2% behind consensus estimates of $2.76 billion, mainly due to flat pricing in the third quarter.
