Symrise posts double-digit increases in net income, Ebitda

Symrise (Holzminden, Germany) says it strengthened sales and earnings in first-half 2013. Net income for the first six months of 2013 was €93.4 million ($124 million), up from the year-ago figure of €83.5 million, or 12% year-on-year (YOY). Ebitda for first-half 2013 was €191 million, compared with €174 million for the prior-year period, or 11% YOY. Symrise says it remains highly profitable, with an Ebitda margin of 20.5%.
