Solvay to Sell Fine Chemicals Plant

Solvay says it plans to sell Synkem, its fine chemicals plant at Chenôve, France, to International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG; Frankfurt). Synkem specializes in the extraction and synthesis of active ingredients, and has annual sales of €37 million. It is part of Laboratoires Fournier, which Solvay acquired in 2005.
