Reports: Kem One to file for insolvency

Kem One (Lyon, France), a manufacturer of polyvinyl chloride, will file for insolvency tomorrow, according to various reports in the French press. The filing follows a works council meeting held today. The process will lead to Kem One entering receivership, about eight months after Klesch Group (Geneva), a special situations investor, acquired the business from Arkema. The insolvency filing will also trigger a restructuring that will affect a large number of Kem One's 2,600 employees, the reports say. The company's main sites in France are at Fos-sur-Mer...
