Report: Dow's plastic additives production site at Grangemouth up for sale

Dow Chemical's plastic additive production site near Grangemouth, UK, has been put up for sale, according to a report in local newspaper, The Falkirk Herald, published today. The Grangemouth site was acquired as part of the $15.4-billion acquisition of Rohm and Haas in 2009. Dow was not immediately available for comment. The decision, however, would be in line with Dow's previously announced $1.5-billion divestiture plan that is expected to take place over an 18-month period and include plastic additive assets, as reported by CW.
