Raw Material Costs Weigh on Altana's Profits

Specialty chemicals company Altana (Wesel, Germany) reported a 2% decrease in 2011 Ebitda, to €308 million on sales up 5%, to €1.6 billion. Full-year Ebit declined 6%, to €217 million. Fourth-quarter figures were not disclosed.
