Perstorp to Acquire Rhodia and LyondellBasell Isocyanate Businesses

Perstorp says it has entered into exclusive negotiations to buy the isocyanate businesses of LyondellBasell and Rhodia. The deal includes Rhodia’s aliphatic isocyanates unit, which produces a range of intermediates for industrial paints and coatings. Rhodia plans to divest the bulk of its organics business (CW, March 3, p. 13).
