Odfjell orders four ethylene carriers from China

Odfjell says it has signed shipbuilding contracts with Nantong Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co. (Nantong, China) for the construction of four gas carriers, each with a capacity of 17,000 cubic meters. The vessels will be capable of transporting liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or ethylene. Delivery of the ships is scheduled between October 2015 and May 2016. The total contract price is about $180 million, Odfjell says.
