Moody's to Review DuPont Credit Rating

Moody's Investors Service (New York) has announced that it will place DuPont's investment-grade, 'A2,' credit rating under review in light of the company's proposed acquisition of Danisco (Copenhagen). DuPont is expecting to fund the $6.3 billion deal with about half cash and half debt, though the structure of the debt has yet to be determined. If the Danisco acquisition is completed, "it is likely that DuPont's ratings could be downgraded by one or two notches," Moody's says.
