Regions :: Western Europe Merck KGaA's Kley elected VCI president10:16 AM MDT | October 5, 2012 | Ian Young German chemical industry association VCI (Frankfurt) has elected Merck KGaA chairman Karl-Ludwig Kley as VCI president, effective tomorrow. Kley succeeds Evonik Industries chairman Klaus Engel as VCI president. Kley was elected at the VCI general assembly, currently taking place in Essen, Germany. His term as VCI president will last for two years. Kley was VCI treasurer in 2008-11. He has been Merck KGaA chairman since April 2007.
