Lanxess reported a doubling of third-quarter net income to €75 million ($110 million), on sales up about 1%, to €1.7 billion. Ebit rose 22%, to €104 million. Increased selling prices and volumes helped lift results, Lanxess says. “This is our strongest third quarter yet and provides a basis for further sustained growth,” says chairman Axel Heitmann.
