Regions :: Western Europe Lanxess Inaugurates Butyl Rubber Expansion at Zwijndrecht, Belgium4:28 AM MDT | May 3, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Lanxess says it is reinforcing its butyl rubber operations at Zwijndrecht, Belgium. The company has held an official opening ceremony to mark for the completion of capacity expansion. The project, completed end of 2011, raised capacity by 10% to 150,000 m.t./year at a cost of €20 million ($26.3 million). The company has also built two pilot plants at the site which will be used for the development of butyl rubber production technology.
