Kemira's net profit tumbles 88%, restructuring on track, outlook confirmed

Kemira reported today a net profit of €3.7 million ($4.9 million) for the second quarter of this year, a drop of 88% from the €31.4 million posted during the same period last year. Second-quarter Ebitda stood at €41.6 million during the reported period, down from €58 million during the second quarter of 2012. Sales were up to €569.3 million in the second quarter compared with €562.3 million a year earlier. Organic revenue growth was 4%, driven by sales-volume growth in all segments.
