Regions :: Western Europe Kemira Begins Job Reduction Talks as Part of Restructuring8:04 AM MDT | August 6, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Kemira announced today that it will begin discussions with employee representatives regarding its recently announced restructuring program, dubbed Fit for Growth. The program is expected to cut 600 jobs—12% of the company’s global workforce. The cuts will affect about 250–260 employees in Finland. The company at the end of June 2012 had 1,259 employees in Finland. Negotiations in Finland will affect all employees working at Kemira’s sites at Helsinki, Espoo, Oulu, Sastamala, Kuusankoski, Joutseno, Vaasa, and Harjavalta. The company plans...
