Ineos receives planning permit to build ethane tank at Grangemouth

Ineos today confirmed that the Falkirk Council in the United Kingdom has told the company that its planning application for the construction of an ethane tank at its Grangemouth, UK, site has been approved. The planning application covers building a 60 000–cubic meter capacity ethane-storage tank as well as associated infrastructure. The tank will allow ethane to be imported from the United States via the Grangemouth docks, stored, and then processed at the Grangemouth site’s existing KG ethylene plant.
