ICIG completes acquisition of Clariant’s detergents and intermediates business

Clariant says that it has completed the previously announced sale of its detergents and intermediates business to International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG), a privately owned industrial holding company, for a total of 58 million Swiss francs ($64 million). As a result, about 600 employees worldwide were transferred from Clariant to the new ICIG business, which from now on will operate under the WeylChem brand umbrella, Clariant says.
