Regions :: Western Europe Higher Sales and Selling Prices Lift Evonik's Nine-Month Results3:53 AM MST | November 28, 2007 | Kerri Walsh Evonik’s chemical operations reported an increase in profit for the first nine months of the year, helped by higher volumes and selling prices. Technology specialties reported Ebit up 23%, to €365 million ($538 million), on sales of €3.6 billion, the same as the year-ago period. That business includes the building blocks, C4-chemistry, aerosil and silanes, and advanced fillers and pigments segments. Operating income from the consumer solutions business rose 24%, to €178 million, on sales up 3%, to €2.3 billion. Sales and earnings increased in the feed...
