Higher Sales and Selling Prices Lift Evonik's Nine-Month Results

Evonikâ€™s chemical operations reported an increase in profit for the first nine months of the year, helped by higher volumes and selling prices. Technology specialties reported Ebit up 23%, to â‚¬365 million ($538 million), on sales of â‚¬3.6 billion, the same as the year-ago period. That business includes the building blocks, C4-chemistry, aerosil and silanes, and advanced fillers and pigments segments.
