Higher Sales and Selling Prices Lift Evonik's Nine-Month Results

Evonik’s chemical operations reported an increase in profit for the first nine months of the year, helped by higher volumes and selling prices. Technology specialties reported Ebit up 23%, to €365 million ($538 million), on sales of €3.6 billion, the same as the year-ago period. That business includes the building blocks, C4-chemistry, aerosil and silanes, and advanced fillers and pigments segments.
