Henkel's Adhesives Unit Records Higher Sales and Operating Profits

Henkel says that sales and operating profits at its adhesives business increased 5.6% and 16% in the first quarter of 2012, to €2 billion ($2.59 billion) and €283 million compared with €1.88 billion and €244 million in the first quarter of 2011, respectively. The adhesives operating margin also increased by 1.2 percentage points, to 13.2% in the first quarter of 2012, the company says.
