Givaudan reports strong increase in sales and earnings

Flavors & fragrances major Givaudan Group (Vernier, Switzerland) reported a strong increase in earnings and revenues in the first 6 months of this year. Net income was up 35.5% at 271 million Swiss francs ($292 million) and net profit margin increased from 9.4% to 12.2% in the first 6 months of 2013. Ebitda margin was 22.9% compared with 20.6% in the first 6 months of 2012. Sales grew by 5.7% to SF2.22 billion with developing markets rising 9.4%.
