Regions :: Western Europe FMC to Acquire Pectin Manufacturer in Italy10:58 AM MDT | August 1, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas FMC Corp. says it has agreed to acquire Pectine Italia (Milan), a manufacturer of pectin for the food ingredient market. FMC will enter the pectin market through this acquisition, which will enhance the company's portfolio of hydrocolloid texturants and stabilizers. Pectine Italia has production facilities at Milazzo on the island of Sicily, located near to important raw material sources, the company says.
