Evonik and Umicore enter Li-ion cathode materials supply agreement

Evonik Litarion, which is a subsidiary of Evonik Industries, and Umicore (Brussels) say they have agreed on a business partnership for the supply of lithium-ion (Li-ion) cathode materials. Umicore will supply Evonik with cathode materials for large-format Li-ion batteries that are used in electric vehicles and in energy storage systems for stationary applications, the companies say.
