Regions :: Western Europe Europe's Largest Biorefinery to Restart12:14 PM MDT | August 15, 2012 | Ian Young Ensus (Yarm, U.K.) says it has decided to restart operations at its mothballed bioethanol plant at Wilton, U.K. late this month. The £300-million plant started up in February 2010 but it has been offline for the last 15 months. Ensus expects the plant to be operating at full rates within two months. The company says the plant is Europe's largest biorefinery. The decision follows resolution of regulatory issues related to European Union (EU) imports of subsidized bioethanol from the U.S., which benefited from a loophole in the EU tariff system that...
